There is something about Kim Burrell that always rubs me the wrong way and clearly others too lol. This man was on point and very right. Its undermining and disrespectful to conduct urself like that as a judge when people are talking. It shows u dont value their time or see them as worthy. He was right clapping back and standing his ground. Kierra is a kind spirit and he connected with her energy. Kim Burrell is always so nasty.

He basically exposed what was happening Kim Burrell was wrong and Donnie McClurkin was wrong they shouldn't have been laughing at him in the first place I really hate the fact that he had to go off on them but it was very disrespectful just like he said I would have went off on them too if they laughed at me that would have been another story

He was right. That was not the time nor the place to do that. How could you expect someone not to take it that way? If they were preaching and talking about something very serious and they saw two people talking and laughing they’d address it right then. This is why I hate these shows because it’s like some of the ones that have (arrived) are arrogant and rude. I honestly thought they were laughing at him too. I am proud of him to speak his truth… it was unprofessional for 2 of my favorite vocalists to laugh… even if the “laughter wasn’t towards him” the optics depicted otherwise… Dennis you ARE SOMEBODY… not you are “gonna” be somebody… nobody deserves that kind of behavior… especially on a “Christian” based talent showcase show. We are all human, and this display definitely proved just that… this type of “judging” was the reason I didn’t feel comfortable watching the show… I’m grateful Kierra and Yolanda held down a professional loving presence… Donnie if anything wasn’t “the time and place”… you laughing wasn’t… I’m glad apologies were made. It’s so rude as a judge, you should be focused on the talent, not chitchatting in the side while someone is getting critiques. He had his own right to defend himself and I just don’t like the simple fact like they were that dude try to gaslight him.
